Our move-out check is a free service that we offer all tenants before moving out of a lease.
During the move-out check, our professional property inspectors go through the lease and make sure what needs to be repaired is pointed out. This ensures that the tenant does not get any unpleasant surprises the day they move out.
1-2 months before the departure our property inspector inspects the property and points out if any repairs are necessary. You will also receive an offer on what it will cost to repair the possible damages.
If you accept the offer, we guarantee that there will be no additional costs for the renovation work after your departure.
Hereby, you avoid any extra payments for renovation work after the expiry of your contract. Also, you avoid having to pay up to 2 weeks extra rent, according to the landlord’s contract entitlement, in order to bring the property back to the original move-in condition.
Also, we guarantee that the work is done at competitive prices rather than the landlord initiating the work without your influence on the price.
Move-Out Checks for tenants who have not rented their property through Scandia Housing
Scandia Housing also offers free move-out checks for tenants who have not rented their home through Scandia Housing.
In these cases, we will not be able to guarantee that the landlord accepts the move-out report, since we do not manage the rental. However, we can guarantee that our professional property inspectors will examine the lease carefully. Often there will be a lot of money to save by allowing our craftsmen to perform work at a fixed price, rather than allowing the landlord to launch the work after departure, when you as a lessee no longer have influence on the cost of the job, as well as having to pay up to two weeks in extra rent.
